WHAT: The Windsor Police Department is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new police headquarters and is inviting members of the media to attend the event.
WHERE: North of the Town of Windsor Public Services campus, 960 N. 15th St., Windsor.
WHEN: Friday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m.
WHO: Members of the public and media are invited to attend the event, along with leadership from regional law enforcement agencies, Windsor’s Town Board and Mayor, Windsor Police Department officers and staff, as well as other dignitaries from the community.
WHY: The $30 million project will see the construction of a new police facility, which will replace the department’s current building, located at 200 N. 11th St., as well as other off-site improvements. Construction will begin this summer, with a current timeframe of roughly 18 months.
